The hostel, nestled amidst the vibrant walled medina, offers not only easy access to local attractions like the University of Al-Karaouine, but also a wonderfully social environment ideal for connecting with fellow travelers. The daily complimentary buffet breakfast was a delightful touch, fueling our explorations with fresh, vibrant flavors. The standout feature for me was the warmth and helpfulness of the young staff, especially Samira, whose cooking during the manager's reception was a culinary highlight. With options for inexpensive dinners and excursions, it truly caters to adventurers on a budget, without compromising on experience. The serene roof terrace provided a perfect respite to unwind under the stars after a day of exploration. For an authentic dive into Moroccan culture with great company and comfort, Funky Fes has earned a special place on my travel list, making it an exceptional choice for both solo eco-adventurers and those traveling with friends.
